Seventy percent of surveyed pharmacists reported an increase in senior traffic since Jan. 1, according to an Epocrates Honor Panel survey of 537 R.Ph.s. Seventy-seven percent of senior visits were to check on drug costs, 74% asked about which Part D plan to join, 41% came to pick up a new script, and 37% had questions about drug alternatives. More than 50% of respondents also noted that Part D has caused at least a 40% increase in time spent on administrative tasks.
