Health Alliance inks deal with Hospira

October 23, 2006

The Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati entered into an agreement with Hospira to purchase Plum A+ infusion devices with the wireless Hospira MedNet system for IV drug delivery for its seven hospital facilities and planned West Chester, Ohio, hospital. According to Hospira officials, the deal represents one of the largest clinical equipment purchases in Health Alliance's 11-year history. Instead of phasing in the new technology over several years at its hospitals, Health Alliance has chosen to replace all IV pumps across its seven locations during the next year with the Hospira infusion devices and customizable patient safety software.
