Three lots of Merck antibiotic recalled
Merck has announced the recall of three lots of ertapenem sodium (Invanz) for injection after broken glass was found in two vials of reconstituted solution.

Merck has announced the recall of three lots of ertapenem sodium (Invanz) for injection after broken glass was found in two vials of reconstituted solution. The affected lots are 0803930, 0803940, and 0803950 and all carry an expiration date of October 2008. Pharmacists are advised to immediately stop dispensing any product from the lots affected by this recall.
