SureScripts to offer docs medication histories
Physicians will be able to securely access patient medication histories through pharmacies that belong to the SureScripts electronic prescribing network. Physicians will be able to see a patient's medication records and pharmacy data, such as allergies and when drugs were dispensed, across all prescribers.

Physicians will be able to securely access patient medication histories through pharmacies that belong to the SureScripts electronic prescribing network. Physicians will be able to see a patient's medication records and pharmacy data, such as allergies and when drugs were dispensed, across all prescribers. Later this year, SureScripts will undertake a regional project to give consumers secure on-line access to their medication histories through collaboration with Medem, a national patient-provider communication network founded by AMA and other U.S. medical societies.
