Rep. Marion Berry garners NACDS leadership award

The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) awarded Rep. Marion Berry the NACDS Congressional Leadership Award for his ongoing support of pharmacy.

Congressmen Berry received the honor during NACDS’ 2nd Annual RxIMPACT Day in Washington, D.C., recently.

He is the only licensed pharmacist on Capitol Hill. During his time as a Congressman, Berry has supported pharmacy’s healthcare initiatives, including Medicaid average manufacturer price (AMP) reform and maintaining seniors' ability to secure durable medical equipment (DME).

Berry also is founder and co-chairman of the House Prescription Drug Task Force. He intends to retire at the close of the current term.
