In addition to creating new drugs, manufacturers are also performing studies to determine the safe and effective dosages in children for existing medications. PhRMA stated that the "Best Pharmaceuticals for Children Act," currently up for reauthorization this year, has led to new safety, efficacy, dosage, and risk information in the labeling of more than 120 medicines.
