Jared Combs, Pharm.D., has published a book about his struggles with alcohol and drug dependence. A hospital pharmacist at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Combs started drinking when he was in high school and escalated to drugs after he graduated from pharmacy school and got a job in pharmacy. Clean and sober for eight years now, he candidly shares details about his life, which includes arrests, licensure suspensions, and rehabilitation in his book Incomprehensible demoralization: An addict pharmacist's journey to recovery. The book is self-published through Xlibris.
