May 7, 2008

PharmaCentra is launching WellTouch First Fill to encourage patients to get their first prescription orders filled.

An average of 50% of first prescriptions are never filled. That’s according to PharmaCentra, an Atlanta firm that is offering a program called WellTouch First Fill to encourage patients to comply with their drug regimen. The program involves opt-in live reminder calls, targeted messages, and educational materials communicated to patients through WellTouch Health Care Specialists. PharmaCentra claims that as a result of its program, 80% of patients have filled their first prescription orders.
