New MTM plan in the works for Maryland and D.C.

QIO sets up new MTM program for Maryland and District of Columbia

Delmarva Foundation, the Medicare Quality Improvement Organizations (QIO) for Maryland and the District of Columbia, is initiating a new medication therapy management program in cooperation with Medi-CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, and Howard University School of Pharmacy. The program follows on the heels of other QIO-sponsored MTM programs in Florida and MTM programs are open to community pharmacists.
