New electronic hub allows bidding on oncology drugs
OneOncology brings together oncology drug orders and wholesalers that can fulfill them.

Drug wholesalers can now win new oncology business by bidding online through an electronic trading hub called OneOncology. Based in Orlando, Fla., OneOncology said it aggregates individual drug orders from hundreds of oncologists and allows wholesalers to fill the orders at the lowest price. To illustrate how oncologists can benefit from its service, OneOncology said that its pricing data found that certain oncology practices pay as much as $97 more per unit for Taxotere 80 mg than physicians who receive the best pricing from current distributors.
