NACDS gives Sen. Enzi 'great communicator' designation

Michael Enzi (R, Wyo.), NACDS bestowed its first "Community Pharmacy Great Communicator" designation on him to recognize his comments on the Senate floor about the important role of community pharmacy in improved patient outcomes. On May 3, during debate on the FDA Revitalization Act, Enzi said, "I am a strong supporter of people getting drugs from their local pharmacist, the one who will help you interpret all of the sheets of paper that come with the prescription. They are going to know what other drugs you are taking and if there are possible interactions. Local pharmacists are the most valuable asset we have in the entire pharmaceutical chain."
