NACDS: Delay implementation of tamper-resistant paper
NACDS urges delay of tamper-resistant paper implementation deadlines

NACDS has collaborated with more than 45 national, state, local, and other health organizations to strongly urge members of the Senate Finance Committee and the House Committee on Energy and Commerce to delay a provision included in an Iraq War Supplemental Appropriations bill. This provision requires all Medicaid prescriptions to be written on "tamper-resistant" Rx paper in order to be eligible for federal reimbursement beginning Oct. 1. NACDS is calling for a one-year delay to allow for sufficient time for uniform compliance.
