Medco announces its plans to build a 318,000-sq. ft. mail-order pharmacy in Indiana.
Medco broke ground in central Indiana on a new 318,000-sq. ft. pharmacy for its mail-order operations. The company expects to spend more than $140 million on the facility and claims it will be the world's largest mail-order pharmacy. The location was chosen in part because of its proximity to pharmacy schools at Butler University and Purdue University. The pharmacy is expected to be able to dispense more than one million prescriptions a week at its peak operation.
