A proposal has been submitted by Brad Ashby, a Kentucky pharmacy student, to the Boy Scouts of America to establish a Pharmacy Merit Badge. The badge is one of approximately 400 submitted this year. Merit badges are awarded to Boy Scouts following the completion of specific requirements. Other professional areas in which a Scout can currently earn a merit badge include dentistry, law, medicine, public health, and veterinary medicine.
