Latebreakers: NCPA supports MemberHealth acquisition
NCPA CEO Bruce Roberts voiced his support of the recently announced acquisition of MemberHealth by insurer Universal American group.

NCPA CEO Bruce Roberts voiced his support of the recently announced acquisition of MemberHealth by insurer Universal American group. In 2006, MemberHealth, NCPA, and Computer Sciences Corp. collaborated to create Community Care Rx (CCRx). Currently, CCRx is the fourth-largest Part D prescription drug plan with more than one million members. The transaction is expected to close late in the third quarter. Upon completion, MemberHealth will operate as a part of the Universal American group of companies with Charles Hallberg remaining as president/CEO of MemberHealth.
