Hutchinson leaves SureScripts for Prematics
Prematics names Kevin Hutchinson as its new CEO.
Kevin Hutchinson has left as CEO of Prematics,an e-prescribing service company. Prematics offers physician-oriented e-prescribingsoftware. Hutchinson is a member of the AmericanHealth Information Community, an advisory body that makes recommendationsto the Secretary of the Department of Health & Human Services on how to acceleratethe development and adoption of health information technology. Rick Ratliff hasreplaced Hutchinson as the acting CEO of SureScripts. In 2001, SureScripts wasformed by the National Community Pharmacists Association and the National Associationof Chain Drug Stores to develop an e-prescribing platform for pharmacies. Currently,more than 90% of pharmacies are connected to the SureScripts platform for receivinge-prescriptions.
