
Husband and wife pharmacists create dehydration treatment
Frustrated with the popular dehydration products available, pharmacists Sam and Jamie Lee began searching for alternatives after their 18-month-old son became sick and was in need of rehydration.
Frustrated with the popular dehydration products available, pharmacists Sam and Jamie Lee began searching for alternatives after their 18-month-old son became sick and was in need of rehydration.
They searched the Internet for solutions. There, they found a white paper on dehydration treatments from the World Health Organization. Sam, who works for Sanofi-Aventis, and Jamie, who works for Humana Inc., then decided to start their own company (Louisville-based Six Sigma Laboratories).

NormaLyte is manufactured and packaged in India. FDA classifies it as a medical food, not a drug. The product comes in a pouch and must be mixed with a liter of water.
The Lees are hoping to expand Six Sigma Laboratories. "We're just proud of Louisville," Sam Lee told Louisville Business First. " We're proud to be here."
