Governors push for biogenerics legislation
A bipartisan group of Governors from eight states sent a letter to Congress pressing them to pass biogenerics legislation.

Citing, among other things, the increasing costs of health care, a bipartisan group of Governors from eight states sent a letter to Congress pressing them to pass biogenerics legislation. The letter said there is little hope that Americans will have the benefits of generic versions of biopharmaceuticals until Congress passes legislation authorizing the FDA to create an efficient abbreviated pathway for approval of generic versions of biopharmaceuticals.
