Giant Eagle tests integrated e-records system
A Pittsburgh-area Giant Eagle pharmacy is using a new enterprisewide workflow system with electronic healthcare record technology and a revenue-based medication therapy management module. The pharmacy is the first in an expected chainwide roll out of the Enterprise Pharmacy System from PDX-Rx.com. The system was newly designed to integrate MTM capabilities with electronic records and balancing workflow across the entire chain. "We have worked alongside PDX as an alpha partner throughout the development of EPS," said Randy Heiser, VP of Pharmacy for Giant Eagle. "This collaboration has helped to deliver the most stable, functionally rich pharmacy system currently available in the marketplace."
