Medical Services Co. has agreed to sell its workers' comp business to Express Scripts.
Express Scripts has announced it plans to acquire Medical Services Co.’s (MSC) workers’ compensation pharmacy benefit management business. Based in Jacksonville, Fla., MSC helps contain workers’ comp costs for its 500,000 beneficiaries. The price of the deal has not been disclosed. If approved, the deal will strengthen the St. Louis-based pharmacy benefit manager’s size in the workers’ comp market.
