Consumer campaigns draw attention to e-prescribing
SureScripts and the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association are both launching campaigns to boost the level of electronic prescribing.

SureScripts and the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association are each launching efforts to drive consumer awareness of electronic prescribing to drive greater demand for the technology. SureScripts is rolling out a new Web site, www.LearnAboutEprescriptions.com, which has consumer resources, including a tool for finding local physicians that use e-prescribing by zip code. In addition, PCMS announced a new campaign to pressure Congress to require e-prescribing in Medicare "before more people die." The
