Conference Preview: NACDS Total Store Expo
The NACDS Total Store Expo takes place August 12 through 14, 2023 in San Diego, California.
This year’s National Association of Chain Drug Stores Total Store Expo is taking place in sunny San Diego, California, where the organization will be celebrating 90 years of driving innovation in the pharmacy industry. Attendees, speakers, retailers, and exhibitors will converge (the theme of this year’s meeting) at the San Diego Convention Center from August 12 to August 14 to engage with insightful panel discussions, meet with partners, and gain insights into the evolving pharmacy marketplace.
Sessions to Watch For
On August 12, panelists will discuss the importance of closing the gap in women’s health and wellness, including underfunded and under-researched areas, how to break the taboo of life stages such as menopause, and the importance of advancing women’s health messaging and products to the larger market. Check back during the conference for our interview with speaker Summer Williams Kerley, Vice President, Clinical and Market Access Solutions at Rite Aid Corporation, to learn more about this important topic.
On August 13, NACDS President and CEO Steven C. Anderson, FASAE, CAE, IOM, and NACDS Chair Michael Wysong, CEO at Care Pharmacies Cooperative, will kick off the meeting’s Business Program, leading an insightful discussion into domestic and world events. The session will also feature a discussion with Peggy Noonan, Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist at the Wall Street Journal and bestselling author, among other accolades.
Between 8:00 and 9:00 AM on August 14, attendees can drop into 1 of 6 Insight Sessions, where speakers will be discussing topics ranging from innovative care models for communities, the consumerization of healthcare, and a pharmacy perspective on the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA). Drug Topics will be on site covering these sessions, including an interview with speakers Doug Long, Vice President of Industry Relations at IQVIA, about his session “2023 Pharmaceutical Trends, Issues, and Forecasts.”
