Color and COVID-19: The Virus’ Disproportionate Impact

MJH Life Sciences™ COVID-19 Coalition will be hosting its next live webinar event on the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 among racial and ethnic minority groups.

On January 12, 2021, MJH Life Sciences™ COVID-19 Coalition will host a live webinar event on the disproportionate impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) among racial and ethnic minority groups.

The COVID-19 Coalition comprises of a group of nationally recognized experts who serve as an advisory panel with the goal to equip providers with the resources they need to enhance patient outcomes amid the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. Through this alliance, MJH Life Sciences™ brings together biweekly events to keep health care professionals abreast of emerging COVID-19 science and news

According to data from APM Research Lab, 1 in 1625 white Americans has died from COVID-19 compared with 1 in 1275 Latino Americans, 1 in 925 Indigenous Americans, and 1 in 875 Black Americans. This is the result of a combination of discrimination and social factors that create racially inequitable impacts.

The live webinar, titled “Color and COVID-19: The Virus’ Disproportionate Impact,” will discuss potential solutions to this multi-pronged problem and the role that clinicians can play in the work toward resolution.
