BPS sets specialty certification record

The Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties set a record last year for the number of pharmacists taking its certification and recertification examinations to become board certified in five specialty areas. A total of 1,197 candidates took the exams at 26 domestic sites and 12 locations outside the U.S. BPS attributed much of the increase to the number of pharmacists taking the pharmacotherapy specialty exam.
