Bartell Drugs offers free health screenings, cosmetic tips

Bartell Drugs is holding a "Health and Beauty Event," featuring health clinics, free beauty "mini-makeover" demonstrations and hair-styling tips, and product samplings ranging from cosmetics to specialty foods and candies, at select Seattle-area locations in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties.  The event will run through April 3.

In conjunction with Evergreen Hospital Medical Center, Bartell Drugs is also providing mobile digital mammography screenings through April 8 at 16 locations. The mobile unit has private changing rooms and board-certified radiologists to analyze mammograms. Most insurance plans and Medicare are accepted. Ten Bartell Drug locations are featuring health-clinic testing and screenings free of charge or at discounted fees. These services include OneTouch blood glucose meter exchange and meter education, bone-density screenings, and blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol testing.

At 20 participating Bartell stores, cosmetologists are giving "mini-makeovers," demonstrating the newest products from various manufacturers as well as spotlighting the latest hair-styling tools and tips.
