ASHP has released its Compounded Sterile Preparations Certificate for pharmacists that manage personnel and facilities involved in compounding sterile preparations.
The self-guided, online CE program will also serve as a preparatory course for the Board of Pharmacy Specialties’ (BPS) Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist (BCSCP) certification.
Participants will progress through 16 education models correlated to the domains tested by the BPS, including training in basic compounding techniques and the advanced skills required to manage safe and compliant sterile preparations in a cleanroom environment.

In all, those completing the certificate will earn a total of 36 hours of pharmacy CE, and learn practice standards and regulations, current and proposed requirements for compliance with USP chapters <797> and <800>, and training in the following areas:
