ASCP launches assisted living manual.
Pharmacy owners or managers who currently provide or are planning to provide pharmacy services to assisted living communities will find a new resource from the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists helpful. ASCP launched the ASCP Pharmacy Policy and Procedure Manual for Assisted Living at its Geriatrics ‘08 conference in Las Vegas. Among other things, the manual covers state laws and regulations related to assisted living and includes a CD. According to ASCP president Lee Meyer, the manual is “the standard for medication management services in assisted living.”
