At present, there is only one Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam for technicians. But PTCB is now exploring setting up exams for specific settings under the category of "added qualifications." So revealed Melissa Murer Corrigan, executive director and CEO of PTCB, at the APhA annual meeting in San Francisco last week. She added that out of a universe of 371,000 technicians nationwide, 231,745 are now certified.
