Galen Munroe, a spokesman for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, said, "It's a rally to raise awareness regarding an ongoing struggle to reach a fair agreement with AmerisourceBergen." Munroe said the action will not affect drug distribution to pharmacies. The Teamsters issued a statement, which said, "The company's latest bargaining demands include a discriminatory pay system based on management favoritism that would move away from an industry standard of hourly wage increases, and the right to subcontract work to lower paying facility outside the Kent community."
