AMCP unveils second-generation document on medication therapy management
The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy expands on its document on medication therapy management
The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy has come out with a new document related to medication therapy management. The report was developed based on a survey the National Committee for Quality Assurance performed on behalf of AMCP. NCQA assessed providers and users of MTM programs to see to what extent they were applying the principles embodied in AMCP's Sound Medication Therapy Management Programs, Version 1.0. NCQA found that some MTM programs are performing beyond the principles included in Version 1.0. The survey findings have led to the release of Version 2.0, which is featured as a supplement in the January issue of the Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy.
