Albemarle to increase price of ibuprofen

Albemarle Corp., a global supplier of the active pharmaceutical ingredient ibuprofen, will increase the price of its ibuprofen 40 micron and ibuprofen 70 micron products by 12% and its ibuprofen 20 micron product by 20%, worldwide, effective Oct. 15 or as contracts allow. The company stated, "This price increase will allow us to continue to supply the industry with a consistent, reliable supply of what we believe is the highest quality ibuprofen available on the market today."
