White paper explains how to prepare for Joint Commission environment of care survey

A new white paper will help pharmacy directors, infection control managers, and other supervisors prepare their facilities for a Joint Commission survey within the environment of care. Entitled Using Practice Interview Sessions to Strengthen Your Survey Preparedness within the Environment of Care, the document is being offered free of charge by EH&E, a Needham, Mass., firm that provides environmental and engineering consulting services. EH&E explained that the concept of environment of care may be hard to grasp, since virtually all internal services in a facility that are used to support patient care may be surveyed by the Joint Commission.
