A team of pharmacy students from Washington State University?s College of Pharmacy won the 2010 Good Neighbor Pharmacy National Community Pharmacists Association Pruitt-Schutte Student Business Plan Competition. The announcement was made during NCPA?s 112th Annual Convention and Trade Exposition in October in Philadelphia.
A team of pharmacy students from Washington State University’s College of Pharmacy won the 2010 Good Neighbor Pharmacy National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) Pruitt-Schutte Student Business Plan Competition. The announcement was made during NCPA’s 112th Annual Convention and Trade Exposition in October in Philadelphia.
The goal of the competition, which drew 35 entries, is to motivate pharmacy students to create a business model for buying an existing independent community pharmacy or developing a new pharmacy.
The winning school will receive $3,000, and an additional $3,000 will be contributed to the school to promote independent pharmacy.
A team from Drake University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences placed second, and a team representing Auburn University’s Harrison School of Pharmacy placed third.
