Walgreens is expanding its consumer health screening services in Maryland to include cholesterol and other tests.

At more than 60 Walgreens’ stores in Maryland, the retailer now offers daily cholesterol, blood glucose, and body composition tests. Each test also includes a free blood pressure reading and personal consultation with a Walgreens pharmacist.

"As the most accessible healthcare providers, our pharmacists are spending more time with patients through consultations, immunizations, medication questions or concerns, health testing, and other important services to help our customers get, stay, and live well,” said Jon Reitz, Walgreens’ market pharmacy director.

No appointment is needed to receive the services, which range in cost from $15 to $35 each. Walgreens already offers health testing daily at more than 4,100 stores in 41 states. Consumers can find stores that conduct the health tests at www.walgreens.com/findahealthtest.
