With an estimated 260 million COVID-19 vaccine doses administered and 578,000 COVID-19–associated deaths in the US as of this article’s press time, keeping up with pandemic news is more important than ever.

In vaccine-related news, the FDA is expected to soon authorize Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 12 to 15 years. The vaccine is currently authorized only for individuals 16 years of age and older. The decision could come as early as this week.
