A Texas grocery chain is luring moms-to-be with a free prental vitamin offer.
Coinciding with Mother’s Day this Sunday, Minyard Food Stores is offering expectant moms a year’s worth of free prenatal vitamins. Covered are three prescription prenatal formulations from Ethex Corp.: Advanced Natalcare, Natatab Rx, and NatalCare Plus. Pregnant women can pick up a free one-month supply first, followed by monthly refills, at any Carnival, Minyard, or Sack’n Save stores in North Texas. No insurance is required. The grocery chain, which operates 58 supermarkets, 33 pharmacies, and 13 gas stations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, estimates that this “Start Life Healthy” program will save women anywhere from $20 to $50 per month. It claims the program is a first by any retail store in the North Texas area.
