Pneumococcal vaccine now in prefilled syringes
Wyeth Pharmaceutical's Prevnar (pneumococcal 7-valent conjugatevaccine) is now being manufactured in single-dose, prefilledsyringes.

Wyeth Pharmaceutical's Prevnar (pneumococcal 7-valent conjugate vaccine) is now being manufactured in single-dose, prefilled syringes. This new packaging will allow the vaccine to be administered directly from the syringe, thereby reducing the risk for dosing errors. The company will no longer be manufacturing the previously available vials of Prevnar vaccine. The new syringes will be sold in packages of 10.
