PhRMA encouraged by number of HIV therapies in development
92 new products in development for HIV/AIDS

A report recently released by PhRMA said 92 medicines and vaccines are currently under development for the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS. Of those, 20 are vaccines and 46 are antivirals that are either in clinical trials or are under review by the FDA. The report also lists 30 drugs that have been approved since the virus first reared its ugly head more than 20 years ago.
