Stanley Hartman, R.Ph., a former member of Drug Topics' Editorial Advisory Board, passed away on March 6. He had co-owned Bel Aire Pharmacy in Beaverton, Ore., and Garden Home Pharmacy in Portland, both for about 30 years, and Pharmacare for six years. During his heyday, he had fought against what he saw as inequitable drug pricing for community pharmacies versus HMO Kaiser Permanente and other issues. He died of pancreatic cancer at age 77.
