Two supermarket chains follow in Wal-Mart's footsteps by offering 90-day supplies of generics at $10.
As Wal-Mart had predicted, many chains have now followed its lead and set up discount offers for generic drugs for patients. The latest companies to make the announcement are Food 4 Less and Ralphs, both of which are supermarket chains based in Los Angeles. They, too, are now making generic drugs available at $10 for a 90-day supply and offering more women’s health medications at a discount. Besides Wal-Mart, two other chains that have made similar offers are Target and Kroger. Ralphs is a division of Kroger.
