New system tracks pharmaceuticals

System Planning Corp. has introduced PharmaTrak, a system for real-time tracking and monitoring throughout the pharmaceutical supply chain from manufacturer to distributor to pharmacy. PharmaTrak offers data management from the pallet or carton to the item level via RFID, bar code, or other electronic input. There is two-way communication between shipments and a network operations center via cellular or satellite networks.
