Managed Health Care Associates, Inc. has partnered with CoverMyMeds to launch MHAuthorizeRx, a web-based tool designed to help pharmacies collaborate with physicians in submitting prior authorizations (PAs) to health plans.
MHAuthorizeRx is designed to simplify the PA process through an automated, paperless process.
“We are excited to have entered into this alliance with CoverMyMeds, a market leader and innovator, in order to be able to provide PA solutions and services for our members in the long-term-care and alternate-site healthcare markets,” said Erik Halstrom, vice president of MHA Specialty Pharmacy Solutions. “With our newly formed alliance, driven by MHA’s Specialty Pharmacy Solution’s strategy, we will continue to collaborate on solutions that increase the efficiencies of our members in a complex reimbursement and patient management landscape.”
Ron Fine, RPh, VP, national pharmacy accounts of CoverMyMeds, said MHAuthorizeRx will connect prescribers and pharmacists electronically and streamline the PA process. “This co-branded solution will leverage the existing CoverMyMeds offering and will provide a significantly more efficient process while also providing electronic connectivity with prescribers when a PA is needed for coverage,” Fine said.
