Let's get cigarettes out of pharmacies!
In recent years we have witnessed the withdrawal of "fen-phen," Baycol, Vioxx, and other medications from the market because of safety concerns. It is an interesting (but deadly) paradox that we as a society have such little tolerance for the risks associated with the use of medications, but somehow we consider acceptable the continued availability and promotion of a product that has been responsible for millions of deaths from lung cancer, heart problems, and other disorders-cigarettes!
