UnitedHealth Pharmaceutical Solutions has expanded its Half-Tablet Program, in which beneficiaries volunteer to split pills to save money on co-pays for medications that can be divided. The drugs also have similar pricing across dosages and are administered once daily. More than 28,000 pill-splitters have been distributed to members, who can save up to $300 annually, according to the firm, which is a division of UnitedHealthcare.
