Infusion pump to be reimbursed
Medicare announces it will offer reimbursement for use of infusion pump for subcutaneous immune globulin.

CMS has announced that the Freedom60 Syringe Infusion Pump from Repro-Med Systems will be reimbursed by Medicare for use with subcutaneous immune globulin. Subcutaneous immune globulin is used to treat primary immune deficiency, which currently affects approximately 50,000 Americans. Freedom60 offers a portable, nonelectric, maintenance-free delivery system for ambulatory, home, and hospital use, delivering precise infusion rates and uniform flow profiles that provide consistent transfer of medication.
