“GLP-1 medications have changed the weight-loss landscape, but as their use expands, some people discover they fall into a less-discussed category: nonresponders,” wrote authors from Yale Medicine.2 “The term refers to people who do not experience a meaningful benefit from a medication after an adequate dose and duration.”
The study shows that after 1 year of GLP-1 receptor agonist treatment, 60% to 70% of individuals with diabetes still fail to achieve optimal blood glucose control.
