How to obtain funding to set up residency programs
Hospital pharmacists who wish to establish pharmacy residencies should demonstrate that their programs are a financial plus for their organization rather than an added expense. So exhorted James Jorgenson, director of pharmacy at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics. He spoke at the ASHP Residency Preceptors Conference in San Diego last month, addressing a workshop entitled, Creative Funding: How to Get Dollars to Sustain Your Residency Program.
