eckerd health services launches ehs healthline progra on women's health and diabetes
Patients can now get information on womens health issues and diabetes over the phone from Pittsburgh-based pharmacy benefit manager, Eckerd Health Services (EHS).
EHS has launched EHS HealthLine, a service that allows callers to confidentially discuss a variety of health topics with trained pharmacists and technicians. Members can also request that information on those topics be sent to them, particularly if they feel uncomfortable talking about such issues over the telephone.
Information on womens health covered by the program include osteoporosis, breast cancer, diet/weight loss, birth control, fertility/family planning, menopause/estrogen replacement, yeast infection, cholesterol/cardiovascular, vitamins/minerals, migraines, and sun protection.
EHS HealthLine can be reached by calling (866) 744-4848. The toll-free calls are manned from 9 am to 9 pm Monday through Friday and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
