Duane Reade Holdings and Consumer Health Services (CHS), a manager of on-site physician-centric consumer healthcare, have announced a formal affiliation agreement with Continuum Health Partners, one of the major hospital and healthcare providers in the New York City area. This agreement allows the DR Walk-In Medical Care sites operated by the Endres Bowers Medical Group, PC, to provide patients with integrated medical care with Continuum-affiliated New York City hospitals. Currently, CHS manages four DR Walk-In Medical Care sites within Manhattan-based Duane Reade stores, with plans under this new agreement to expand services over the next several years. Under the agreement, DR Walk-In Medical Care's current Manhattan locations will be affiliated with Continuum's St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center. Additional walk-in sites in Manhattan and Brooklyn are planned and will be affiliated with Beth Israel Medical Center and Long Island College Hospital.
