DEA to allow e-prescribing for controlled substances if standards are met
A proposed rule by DEA allows narcotics to be prescribed electronically if standards are met.

How would you like it if controlled substances could be ordered electronically? DEA has finally issued a proposed rule allowing the practice but only if a long list of standards are met. These standards are detailed in the June 27 Federal Register. Those who wish to comment on the 62-page proposal should contact DEA by Sept. 25.
